Choose Your Next Layout-Planning Step

Use this collection as the starting point for CVF’s software-assisted layout work. The main SketchUp guide follows the process from identifying the exact van to comparing a provisional layout. Choose the stage you are at now, rather than treating a finished-looking model as the end of the planning process.

I have not measured the van: start with the usable-space layout reference, then open the measurement worksheet to record your own observations.
I am ready to model: use the SketchUp layout guide for the sequence from measurements to separate furniture components and access checks.
I am checking a starting model: read the downloaded-model reference alongside your vehicle measurements. Record any unresolved mismatch before relying on the model.
I have two possible layouts: use the full-size mockup checklist to collect fit observations, then record the provisional choice in a decision log.

Keep The Model And The Evidence Together

For each layout revision, keep the source of the van model, the measurements you used and the decisions still open. Distinguish an observed dimension from a placeholder. That record makes the next revision easier to assess and gives a specific question to resolve when a model and the physical space disagree.
