I sprayed white paint after priming the cut opening beneath the passenger seat. Preparing and coating the exposed area was a separate job between cutting the floor and fitting the heater.
The white-painted area around the opening beneath my passenger seat.
Why I bought it
The new floor opening left an area to finish before fitting the next parts. My materials included Dupli-Color Oxford White paint alongside gray primer and the cutting and sanding tools.
The paint was a small finishing supply within a larger installation. Its job followed the metal-removal work rather than changing the size or shape of the opening.
How I used it in my camper van
I marked and cut the opening, drilled the mounting holes and sanded the area around it. I then applied two coats of primer and two coats of paint, allowing each stage to dry.
The diary photographs record the primer stage and the white-painted area afterward. I then attached the heater’s intake, exhaust and fuel pipes and guided them through the opening for the next fitting step.

My review
The useful lesson from this stage is the amount of work that remained after cutting the hole. Sanding, primer and paint were all recorded before I moved on to positioning the heater.
Keeping photographs of the successive stages makes the sequence clear. The primer and topcoat had separate steps, even though the finished white area appears as one detail beneath the seat.
The coating sequence belonged between finishing the cut and fitting the equipment through it.
Alternative products
Two alternatives to compare
The Dupli-Color compact applicator and SYOAUTO pen-and-brush product are alternatives for small Oxford White touch-up tasks. They apply paint directly to individual marks, a different format from spraying an area around an opening. Application area and dispensing method distinguish them from the aerosol I used.
Dupli-Color Oxford White Touch-Up Applicator
This Oxford White touch-up paint comes in a compact applicator container. Its tip and brush provide a different application format from an aerosol spray can.
This Oxford White touch-up paint combines pen and brush application in one container. Its small applicators direct paint onto individual chips and marks.
