The item in my kit
I bought Great Stuff Expanding Foam Sealant as part of my camper van equipment.
Expanding foam is among the materials I bought while preparing the van interior. My diary starts that preparation with sweeping, mopping and removing stubborn residue from the floor before covering surfaces.
Where it fits my build
The preparation session began with sweeping the cargo area. I followed with a mop and floor-cleaner spray, and used a towel and Simple Green on the walls.
For material that remained stuck to the floor, I used wire-brush and nylon-brush drill attachments. I dried the cleaned floor with a towel after working through those stages.

My build notes
Dust and residue had accumulated while I was repeatedly loading tools into the van and driving out to work on it. This session was about getting the cargo area ready for the next material stage.
The loose dirt, stuck-on residue and final drying were separate preparation jobs.

Loctite offers separate Big Gaps and Gaps & Cracks formulations; both retain the handheld can-and-nozzle format rather than a sheet insulation format.
Loctite Tite Foam Big Gaps
