I sprayed black bed liner onto the custom camera mounts I made from aluminum extrusion and brackets. The coating was one stage of fitting those mounts to the roof rack.

Why I bought it
The security cameras needed custom mounts built around the extrusion and bracket arrangement on the roof rack. I included black Herculiner aerosol in the materials for finishing those mounts.
The camera project involved adjusting mounting holes and adding brackets as well as coating the pieces. The finish followed the shape and assembly work on the custom mounts.
How I used it in my camper van
I widened camera-mounting holes, added a side bracket and painted the mounts with black bed liner. I also made the final camera mount using extrusion, bolts and a small bracket for another attachment point.
After attaching the rear camera mount, I repainted it with black bed liner. The photographs show the mounts during spraying and a camera attached to one of the black-finished assemblies.

My review
The aerosol had a practical role in finishing the small custom pieces I had made. I returned to the coating step as the rear mount went onto the rack, so the work included both initial spraying and repainting.
The useful detail from my build is that coating was part of an iterative fitting process. Holes, brackets, assembly and paint all belonged to the same camera-mount job rather than happening as isolated projects.
I used the coating during fabrication and returned to it after fitting the rear mount.

Rust-Oleum truck-bed coating is supplied in quart cans. The U-POL RAPTOR kit uses a spray-gun coating system. Those formats involve a different amount of setup from the aerosol I used on the small camera-mount assemblies.

This black truck-bed coating is supplied in quart cans for coating work. It forms a textured finish and offers a different application format from an aerosol can.
