My purchase and Amazon option

A drill-mounted stripping disc is part of the surface-preparation tools I bought.

The featured Amazon option is 3M Paint and Rust Stripper Disc.

Where it fits my build

The preparation session began with sweeping the cargo area. I followed with a mop and floor-cleaner spray, and used a towel and Simple Green on the walls.

For material that remained stuck to the floor, I used wire-brush and nylon-brush drill attachments. I dried the cleaned floor with a towel after working through those stages.

My build notes

Dust and residue had accumulated while I was repeatedly loading tools into the van and driving out to work on it. This session was about getting the cargo area ready for the next material stage.

The loose dirt, stuck-on residue and final drying were separate preparation jobs.

Alternative products

Two alternatives to compare

The 3M option uses an abrasive stripping disc. The BAILUK and WENORA sets use wire brushes in different shapes.

These wire-brush attachments clean surfaces using a drill. Their bristles remove loose residue from metal parts during preparation work.
