Short wood screws were part of fastening the drawer’s corner brackets and slides. The one-inch black-oxide Phillips screws were listed with the supplies for my storage-bin drawer project.
Short screws fastening the inside corner bracket in my drawer frame.
Why I bought it
The drawer build used several screw lengths for different tasks. I used longer screws for the frame and shorter screws around the brackets, lining and slides.
The one-inch screws in my materials belonged to that smaller-hardware work. The corner close-ups show the fastening positions before the drawer received its rubber lining.
How I used it in my camper van
I drilled and attached the galvanized corner brackets inside the drawer frame with one-inch screws. Later in the session I attached the drawer slides to the cabinet frame and drawer using one-inch screws.
The diary also records shorter screws and flat washers at the rubber lining. That separate lining work followed cleaning the wood and using spray adhesive and a roller.

My review
The useful detail was keeping the screw lengths tied to their tasks. The drawer did not use one fastener size throughout the frame, base, lining and slides.
The photographs make the short-screw work visible at the brackets. Once more of the drawer was lined and assembled, those individual attachment points became less prominent.
I used different screw lengths for the frame, brackets, lining and slides.
Alternative products
Two alternatives to compare
The SPAX option is another one-inch number-six flat-head screw, with a zinc-plated finish. The GRK cabinet screw changes to a larger washer-style head, star drive and one-and-a-quarter-inch length. Head shape, drive and length make these different choices for planning a wood attachment.
SPAX Number 6 Flat-Head Screws
These zinc-plated number-six screws use a flat-head profile. Their one-inch length provides a short fastener format for wood assembly work.
These cabinet screws use a washer-style head and a star drive. Their one-and-a-quarter-inch length provides another fastener format for joining wood components.
