A reference package groups the electrical, water and propane drawings with the templates that accompany them. That format makes the individual systems easier to keep together while working through a conversion plan.
Where it fits my build
My Day 87 plan put the body openings ahead of the aluminum framing, flooring and wall panels. I specifically included the shower drain and the openings for three water tanks in that order of work.
I removed cargo tie-down hardware to leave mounting points for the extrusion framing, and removed door trim for the later insulation and paneling. SketchUp helped me plan how those separate jobs would fit together.

My build notes
My interior-preparation notes show how much of the build depended on sequence. I planned the drain and tank openings before the aluminum framing, flooring and wall panels, and used SketchUp to work through the layout.
The purchase of a planning package sits alongside that documented design work. On this page, the useful comparison is the reference format: individual digital drawings and templates, or a book that follows a broader build process.
I planned the openings and mounting access before enclosing the interior.
Alternative products
Two alternatives to compare
FarOutRide supplies downloadable diagrams and templates. The Van Conversion Bible offers a book-length guide to designing and converting a van, while the Haynes manual takes a broader approach to designing and fitting out an overland camper.
The Van Conversion Bible
Charlie Low and Dale Comley's book walks through campervan planning, design and construction. Its system diagrams and illustrated build guidance offer a book-format alternative to a downloadable planning package.
This Haynes manual covers choosing, designing and fitting out an overland camping vehicle. Its broader vehicle-planning approach offers another reference for organizing a custom camper project.
The Builder's Package, a digital collection of diagrams, tutorials and templates.
How did planning appear in my own build?
My interior-preparation notes put body openings and mounting access ahead of the framing and finished surfaces, with SketchUp helping me plan the layout.
