My purchase and Amazon option

Full-size hardboard was among the sheet materials I bought for project layout and panel work.

The featured Amazon option is Tempered Hardboard Twelve-by-Twenty-Four Panel.

Where it fits my build

The preparation session began with sweeping the cargo area. I followed with a mop and floor-cleaner spray, and used a towel and Simple Green on the walls.

For material that remained stuck to the floor, I used wire-brush and nylon-brush drill attachments. I dried the cleaned floor with a towel after working through those stages.

My build notes

Dust and residue had accumulated while I was repeatedly loading tools into the van and driving out to work on it. This session was about getting the cargo area ready for the next material stage.

The loose dirt, stuck-on residue and final drying were separate preparation jobs.

Two alternatives to compare

The featured tempered panel is a small cut sheet. The two Ampersand panels provide different ready-cut dimensions in a similarly thin hardboard format.
