The roof-storage work paired a moving drawer with a surrounding cabinet frame. This hasp is part of the closure hardware I bought for storage assemblies.
I bought National Hardware Swivel-Staple Hasp as part of my camper van equipment.

Where it fits my build
I built the storage-bin drawer frame on the patio from a measured layout. I joined the timber, added inside corner brackets and fitted the base before moving on to the lining.
I cut the rubber mat with scissors, cleaned the wood and used spray adhesive in sections with a roller. Screws and washers attached the mat, and the slides joined the drawer to its surrounding cabinet frame.

My build notes
The drawer went through several distinct stages before it could slide in the cabinet. The photographs show the exposed frame first and the lined drawer later, making the changes in access and fastening positions visible.
Measuring, framing, lining and slide installation were separate stages of the drawer assembly.

Two alternatives to compare
National Hardware's double-hinge version folds around a corner. The longer Master Lock hasp uses a single-hinge layout with a different footprint and mounting pattern.
National Hardware Double-Hinge Hasp
This National Hardware hasp uses two hinged sections to wrap around a corner. Its end fits over a separate staple for a padlock.
