I bought a large protective utility case for equipment storage.
The featured Amazon option is Pelican 1550 Equipment Case.
Where it fits my build
The build diary gave me a way to keep the project in sequence. In the interior-preparation entry I recorded the planned shower drain and water-tank openings before the aluminum framing, flooring and wall panels.
The photographs here show the preceding floor-preparation work. They preserve the starting condition of the cargo area before the later interior stages.

My build notes
The useful part of keeping a photographic record is being able to return to an earlier stage. A bare floor, an exposed mounting point or a removed piece of trim can become much harder to see once the build moves on.
Pairing those photographs with written notes preserves the reason for the sequence, as well as the appearance of the work.
The photographs and written sequence together make earlier build decisions easier to revisit.
Alternative products
Two alternatives to compare
The Pelican 1550 and smaller Pelican 1500 use carry handles and foam interiors. NANUK adds wheels and a telescoping handle to its 935 case, changing how the loaded case is moved.

This black hard case includes a foam insert for arranging equipment. An O-ring seal sits around the opening beneath the latching lid.
