A Fi tracking collar was among the dog-travel equipment I bought.
The featured Amazon option is Tractive Black Dog GPS Tracker.
Where it fits my build
The build diary gave me a way to keep the project in sequence. In the interior-preparation entry I recorded the planned shower drain and water-tank openings before the aluminum framing, flooring and wall panels.
The photographs here show the preceding floor-preparation work. They preserve the starting condition of the cargo area before the later interior stages.

My build notes
The useful part of keeping a photographic record is being able to return to an earlier stage. A bare floor, an exposed mounting point or a removed piece of trim can become much harder to see once the build moves on.
Pairing those photographs with written notes preserves the reason for the sequence, as well as the appearance of the work.
The photographs and written sequence together make earlier build decisions easier to revisit.

Two alternatives to compare
The two Tractive attachment options use black and white housings. The blue option integrates the tracker into an LED collar format; all three use the Tractive subscription service.
Tractive White Dog GPS Tracker
This white tracker attaches to a dog's collar and connects with the Tractive service. Its app provides location information and virtual-fence features through a subscription.
This medium blue collar combines a Tractive tracking device with an LED collar format. Location and virtual-fence features operate through the subscription-based Tractive service.
