The drawer-lining session involved measuring and cutting a sheet to fit the timber frame. I recorded using scissors for that rubber mat; this rotary cutter is another purchased sheet-cutting tool in my kit.

Where it fits my build
I built the storage-bin drawer frame on the patio from a measured layout. I joined the timber, added inside corner brackets and fitted the base before moving on to the lining.
I cut the rubber mat with scissors, cleaned the wood and used spray adhesive in sections with a roller. Screws and washers attached the mat, and the slides joined the drawer to its surrounding cabinet frame.

My build notes
The drawer went through several distinct stages before it could slide in the cabinet. The photographs show the exposed frame first and the lined drawer later, making the changes in access and fastening positions visible.
Measuring, framing, lining and slide installation were separate stages of the drawer assembly.

The OLFA squeeze-handle cutter uses a trigger-style grip. The OLFA standard cutter has a straight handle, offering a different hand position around the same nominal blade diameter.
OLFA RTY-3/DX Rotary Cutter
This OLFA rotary cutter uses a squeeze-handle mechanism around a 60mm blade. Releasing the grip retracts the cutting edge into its guarded position.
