letsFix 3/4-Inch PVC Pipe

I cut PVC pipe into sections for the wiring route around my roof rack. The straight pieces connected junction boxes, bends and the larger gathering point above the van entry.

Why I bought it

The roof lights and cameras were spread around the rack, so the physical route developed from several straight sections and fittings. The letsFix pipe lengths appeared in my materials for that work.

Pipe cutting, box preparation and wire connections overlapped across the project. Each new box location affected the length and direction of the next section.

How I used it in my camper van

I cut pipe to run from the passenger-front junction box toward the large box. I routed wires through the pipe and boxes, fitted connectors and applied PVC cement as sections came together.

Other sessions brought the driver-side wiring across to the passenger side and down into the van. I pulled remaining wires with a fish tape, joined the last pipe sections and tightened the metal ties along the route.

My review

The practical work was fitting individual pipe sections to the layout on the roof. Straight stock was only part of the route; elbows, tees, threaded adapters, boxes and mounting ties shaped the finished arrangement.

The photos show the route at several stages. Measuring the next section stayed connected to the position of the boxes and the wire paths between them.

The route developed section by section as the box locations and cable paths came together.

Alternative products

Two alternatives to compare

Charlotte supplies a two-foot plain-end section and VENTRAL supplies a 36-inch cut length. Both are white Schedule 40 PVC pipe in the same nominal size as my listed pipe. Stock length is a practical difference when planning several short runs between boxes.
