The RCA reference in my drawings
Drawings 2 through 5 label a red/white/yellow RCA connection near the converter and display equipment. That is the cable-type reference covered by this page.
My kit also includes a Tengchi RCA-to-HDMI converter and ELECTOP RCA female couplers. Each has its own product page. A converter, a coupler and a cable are distinct parts of the connection record.
Following the three connections
A conventional composite-video and stereo-audio lead uses yellow identification for composite video and red and white for the two audio channels. The triple-RCA alternatives below have three plugs at each end.
The iMBAPrice purchase in my kit is a two-RCA stereo audio lead. Its two-plug arrangement is recorded on its own item page. Counting the connections makes the distinction visible when following the display drawing and shopping records.
My camera and roof-wiring context
My build includes roof cameras as well as the display equipment. The roof diary documents the junction boxes, cable glands and wire grouping around that work.
On Day 103 I worked on the larger roof enclosure and cable entries. On Day 104 I pulled roof wiring through the PVC conduit and completed the connection and cover work. Those entries show the routing side of the project alongside the display-side component references.
My takeaway
My takeaway is to count the connections and keep the signal-conversion equipment separate in the list. A cable with three RCA plugs is a different physical lead from a two-plug stereo cable, even though both use RCA connectors.
For the two alternatives below, the three-male-plug arrangement is shared. Their listed lengths differ, so the route between the equipment and the amount of cable to manage are useful comparison points.
