Measuring and fitting the storage drawer frame came before attaching its base and lining. The IRWIN square is one of my purchased layout tools for the kind of timber assembly shown in that project.

Where it fits my build
I built the storage-bin drawer frame on the patio from a measured layout. I joined the timber, added inside corner brackets and fitted the base before moving on to the lining.
I cut the rubber mat with scissors, cleaned the wood and used spray adhesive in sections with a roller. Screws and washers attached the mat, and the slides joined the drawer to its surrounding cabinet frame.

My build notes
The drawer went through several distinct stages before it could slide in the cabinet. The photographs show the exposed frame first and the lined drawer later, making the changes in access and fastening positions visible.
Measuring, framing, lining and slide installation were separate stages of the drawer assembly.

Two alternatives to compare
The SWANSON and Klein rafter squares provide compact triangular alternatives. Their fences and angle markings change how they sit against a board compared with a larger carpenter square.
SWANSON 7-Inch Speed Square
The SWANSON Speed Square is a seven-inch triangular layout tool with an edge fence. Its shape combines a square reference with angle markings for timber layout.
