The item in my kit
I bought Frost King Cotton Insulation Sheet as part of my camper van equipment.

Where it fits my build
The preparation session began with sweeping the cargo area. I followed with a mop and floor-cleaner spray, and used a towel and Simple Green on the walls.
For material that remained stuck to the floor, I used wire-brush and nylon-brush drill attachments. I dried the cleaned floor with a towel after working through those stages.

My build notes
Dust and residue had accumulated while I was repeatedly loading tools into the van and driving out to work on it. This session was about getting the cargo area ready for the next material stage.
The loose dirt, stuck-on residue and final drying were separate preparation jobs.

Two alternatives to compare
Thinsulate uses a fibrous insulation structure, while SmartSHIELD uses a foil-faced foam core; the sheet construction and thickness differ across the three materials.
3M Thinsulate SM600L Insulation
This flexible insulation material provides thermal and acoustic lining behind interior panels. Its fibrous sheet can be cut to fit sections of a van interior.
