My DEWALT Impact Driver: Everyday Drilling In The Van Build
I used my DEWALT impact driver for most drilling jobs with quick-change bits. This page brings together my experience and the kit option already linked from my build notes.
I used my DEWALT impact driver for most drilling jobs during the van conversion, with quick-change drill bits that fitted its bit holder. For larger holes through denser material, I switched to my drill/driver.
The impact driver held up well through the build, like my other DEWALT tools. It was one of the tools I used regularly while working on the van on the road.
I built much of the van on the road, carrying tools and materials in a trailer and working outside. Durability is the main reason I consider my DEWALT tools worth the money: they kept working through dirt, travel and rough handling.
