I fitted drawer slides between the cabinet frame and my storage-bin drawer. The extended-drawer photograph shows the access arrangement I was building around the bins.

Why I bought it
A fixed storage box would have made the bins harder to reach inside the cabinet frame. I included full-extension drawer slides so the storage drawer could pull outward.
The slides joined two custom pieces: the timber cabinet frame and the rubber-lined drawer. Their position was part of the layout I was developing for the storage system.
How I used it in my camper van
I built the drawer frame and attached its base before lining it with rubber matting. I also built the cabinet frame to hold two rows of storage-bin drawers.
I attached the slides to the cabinet frame and drawer with screws. The photograph of the extended drawer shows the bins pulled out from the frame, which was the access arrangement I wanted to create at this stage.

My review
The useful role of these slides in my build was connecting the custom drawer to its cabinet while allowing the bin storage to move outward. The photograph makes that arrangement easy to see.
The drawer, lining and containers all contributed to the fitting work around the slides. My experience with this part is about building that moving assembly: attaching the rails to the frame and drawer, then seeing how the bins sat when the drawer was extended.
The slides linked the custom drawer and cabinet into a pull-out storage assembly.
