Why I bought it
The roof wiring used both PVC pipe joints and threaded entries into boxes. My materials included PVC cement and clear silicone for different parts of that assembly.

How I used it in my camper van
I fitted male-thread PVC connectors and cable glands to the metal junction boxes. I applied PVC cement at the pipe connections and clear sealant at the threaded box entries.
That session also involved mounting conduit with metal ties and preparing the larger opening into the van. The sealant application belonged to the individual box connections along the route.

My review
The useful distinction in my build was keeping the pipe-joint and threaded-entry tasks separate. Both happened during assembly, but I recorded different materials for them.
My photos show how the pipe and fittings entered the small box. The sealant was one consumable within that larger process of drilling, fitting, wiring and mounting.
