The archived workshop illustration places the auxiliary switch bank below the instrument-panel cupholder assembly and above the lower connection panel. Use the drawing to recognize the assembly shown in this reference, then compare it with your own dashboard before planning access or wiring.

Identify the workshop reference

The two-page PDF is headed 2023 Transit, section 419-10: Multifunction Electronic Modules, with the procedure title “Auxiliary Switches.” It also carries a procedure revision date of May 28, 2014. Those are document identifiers, rather than proof that every Transit dashboard uses the illustrated arrangement.

Page one illustrates the cupholder assembly and its connection; page two shows the four-switch bank beneath it. The document concerns removal and installation of that assembly. It does not provide a complete camper electrical design or establish the ratings of equipment connected to a switch.

Record the details before assigning a circuit

Keep your vehicle model year, the switch or option identification, and the applicable vehicle documentation together. Distinguish a dashboard switch from the circuit it controls: the appearance or number of buttons alone does not identify the connected load, fuse, relay, or available current.

Use the original PDF below for its assembly illustrations. For a separate dashboard-access reference, see the Transit radio removal workshop reference. If you are planning cabin lighting operated from two positions, the two-location lighting switch reference addresses a different control arrangement.

Save the exact document and the unresolved circuit questions in your van-build decision log before choosing connected equipment.
