I used a hand roller while bonding rubber mat to my storage-bin drawer. Although this roller is sold for sound-deadening sheets, its recorded job in my build was pressing the drawer lining into the adhesive.
Rubber mat fitted inside my storage-bin drawer during the lining work.
Why I bought it
I wanted rubber mat inside the timber drawer assembly. The lining work followed cutting and assembling the frame and base, and it needed a way to press the mat against the wood.
The application roller was included in the tools for that project. My diary records using a roller to assist adhesion as I applied the spray adhesive in sections.
How I used it in my camper van
I cut the mat with scissors and cleaned the wood before applying spray adhesive. I sprayed sections of the wood and used the roller while laying the rubber into the drawer.
I also attached the mat with screws and flat washers, repeating the lining process along the sides with shorter pieces. The roller was one part of that sequence alongside adhesive, cutting tools and fasteners.

My review
The practical value of the roller in my build was applying pressure over the rubber lining as I worked through the sections. It had a specific application job within the larger drawer assembly.
The photographs show the lined base, edges and washer attachments. Working in sections kept the lining stage tied to the shape of the drawer rather than treating the rubber as one loose sheet.
The roller helped me work the lining into place section by section before adding the mechanical attachments.
Alternative products
Two alternatives to compare
The Dynamat roller has a rubber contact surface; the FCHO set provides metal rollers in different widths. Those contact surfaces and widths differ from the polyurethane wheel on my listed roller. The comparison is about application-tool shape and contact area.
Dynamat Rubber Dynaroller
This hand roller has a rubber rolling surface for pressing sheet material during application. Its handled format provides another tool for working across adhesive-backed matting.
This set provides three metal application rollers for pressing sound-deadening sheets. The different roller sizes offer a choice of contact widths during application.
