My DEWALT saw sat on a portable stand during the roof light-bar fabrication work. The photos show the cutting station I used while preparing extrusion and small mounting pieces.
My miter saw attached to its portable stand during the roof-mount work.
Why I bought it
The light-bar project involved a long extrusion piece and several short bracket blanks. I had the miter saw set up on its stand for that fabrication work.
The DWX725B was listed with my tools across the roof-equipment sessions. Its role was the saw’s support arrangement, separate from the blade and the parts being cut.
How I used it in my camper van
At the cutting station I prepared the 58-inch extrusion piece for the added beam and three 1.75-inch mounting pieces. Those parts then moved to drilling and fitting at the roof rack.
My photographs show the saw attached above the folding stand. The rest of the job continued with drilled connector holes, two hardware sizes and the light bar fitted to the new extrusion.

My review
The stand belonged to the work area behind the finished roof mount. The final assembly photos show only the fabricated pieces, while the saw-and-stand photos show where that preparation happened.
For this job I think of the cutting station and roof fitting as separate stages. Having a dedicated saw setup was part of the fabrication stage before I took the pieces to the rack.
The finished mount started at a separate cutting station before its parts reached the roof.

The BORA PM-4000 adds extending stock supports and quick-release mounts. The Bosch GTA 3800 uses extending supports with rollers. Their support arrangements differ from the compact work-stand layout in my photographs, giving longer-stock handling a different shape at the cutting station.
BORA PM-4000 Miter Saw Stand
This folding miter saw stand includes quick-release tool mounts. Its extending supports provide a place for stock alongside the mounted saw.
This folding miter saw stand uses tool holders and extending workpiece supports. Its roller supports provide another arrangement for handling longer stock beside a saw.
