This PDF maps audio-system components and cable routes in an archived Transit workshop reference. Use it to locate the relevant illustration and identify which equipment configuration the drawing describes before planning access or collecting documents for a radio project.

Identify the system scope

The document is titled Information and Entertainment System Component Location, headed 2023 Transit, section 415-00B. The heading names vehicles with SYNC 3 Lite and vehicles without SYNC; its revision is December 3, 2021. It notes that optional components shown may not be present on every vehicle and that low/mid roof heights are illustrated.

Navigate the 12-page reference

  • Pages 1–3: four-, six- and eight-speaker layouts, followed by hidden audio/SYNC components.
  • Pages 3–6: primary and secondary USB cable-routing sections, separated by system configuration.
  • Pages 6–8: LVDS and AM/FM antenna cable-routing sections.
  • Pages 8–10: lower and upper GPS cable-routing sections.
  • Pages 10–12: combined GPS/primary cellular and further cellular antenna-routing sections.

Record the actual system before selecting a drawing

Keep the vehicle year, factory system description and observed speaker arrangement together. Record any replacement radio, added microphone, adapter or accessory separately from the original equipment. A previous owner's modification will not necessarily follow the illustrated factory route.

When referring to a diagram, save its page number, heading and numbered item. A cable-location drawing helps identify a route; it is not a connector pinout, circuit test procedure or assurance that an aftermarket unit is compatible. Collect the matching vehicle electrical information and the proposed equipment's instructions for those separate questions.

The front-door trim reference and overhead-console reference cover their own assembly-access subjects. Link the exact drawing and unresolved equipment question in the decision log so the source remains attached to the decision.
