This archived off-grid illustration places a PV combiner box between four solar-panel branches and a charge controller. It shows the position of the box within one simplified system, alongside a battery and a DC load. Use it as a map of the pictured components when comparing source documents.
Follow The Component Groups
- Left: four separate panel symbols have positive and negative paths running toward the box.
- Centre-left: the enclosure is labelled PV Combiner Box. A shared positive and negative path continues toward the controller; a separate green grounding symbol is drawn beside the enclosure.
- Right: the controller is shown with paths to the battery and to a lamp labelled DC load.
The lamp is a symbolic load in this example.

What The Overview Leaves Unspecified
The enclosure’s internal arrangement is not shown. A box symbol alone cannot resolve those choices or establish whether this arrangement is suitable for another array.
For a useful design record, list the panel model and quantity in each branch, the combiner model and its documentation, and the controller model. Keep the intended mounting location and cable route with the record. Have the complete equipment-specific design assessed before turning the illustration into an installation plan.
Keep The Reference With The Array Plan
Compare the joining point here with the parallel-panel drawing and the 2S2P drawing. The parallel solar system examples place array connections within wider equipment drawings. Keep the selected source and open equipment questions in the decision log.
