Drilling was a repeated part of making the roof brackets and equipment mounts. The DW1361 set was in my tool list as I made holes and adjusted bracket openings.
Drilled holes and bolted connections in one of my custom angle brackets.
Why I bought it
The roof mounts required holes in small aluminum pieces and existing brackets. I included the DEWALT drill-bit set alongside the drill/driver and the other fabrication tools.
The hole positions were determined by the extrusion, light brackets and camera mounting points. The bits belonged to the measuring and fitting work needed to connect those parts.
How I used it in my camper van
I drilled holes in the short mounts that connected the added light-bar extrusion to the rack. The camera work continued with drilled angle brackets and holes adjusted for the mounting hardware.
As the number of brackets grew, I brought the drill press into the project. I enlarged holes in exterior extrusion brackets and prepared additional aluminum mounting pieces for the remaining cameras.

My review
The useful role of the drill-bit set was supporting repeated hole-making across the bracket work. A finished bracket could be small, but each one still needed its own layout and drilling steps.
My notes about bringing the drill press into the job show how the workflow developed as the drilling accumulated. The bits, holding arrangement and hardware layout were all part of that fabrication process.
Repeated bracket drilling became a significant part of the roof-mount fabrication work.
Alternative products
Two alternatives to compare
The Bosch CO14B and IRWIN 316015 alternatives are cobalt drill-bit assortments. They provide another bit-material choice alongside the titanium-coated DEWALT set in my tools. The included sizes and the material being drilled are the useful comparison points for this kind of bracket work.
Bosch CO14B Cobalt Drill-Bit Set
This set contains cobalt drill bits in several sizes and a storage case. The assortment offers another cutting-tool selection for drilling metal parts.
This drill-bit assortment uses cobalt-alloy steel and includes a storage case. Its range of bit sizes provides another option for making holes in metal fabrication work.
