The large junction box became the gathering point for the roof wiring before it entered the van. I drilled openings, added fittings and brought the driver-side route across to that enclosure.
The large enclosure and the opening used to bring the roof wiring into my van.
Why I bought it
I designed the roof wiring around individual conduit runs and a larger gathering point above the entry into the van. The large Otdorpatio project box was included in the materials for that work.
This box had a different job from the small metal boxes distributed around the rack. Several routes met at the large enclosure, so its openings and the hole into the van were part of the same layout.
How I used it in my camper van
I drilled the roof and large-box opening for the wire entry. The work then included running the roof wires through that area and adding individual cable-entry fittings.
In a later session I drilled additional holes, installed threaded PVC adapters and nuts, and connected the pipe to the large box. I brought the driver-side wiring across toward the passenger side and down into the van at that point.

My review
The large enclosure had a clear role in my build: it brought several roof-wiring paths to the entry into the van. The photos show the opening and the fittings at the side of that gathering point.
The work was iterative. Routing wires, drilling the next entry and fitting the next PVC connection happened across successive sessions, with the box layout developing as the separate runs came together.
The larger enclosure was the meeting point between the roof routes and the entry into the van.

The larger Zulkit enclosure provides another project-box layout with reserved entry locations. The smaller hinged Zulkit box offers a different access arrangement and includes cable glands. Size, lid access and entry placement distinguish these options for an enclosure layout.
Zulkit Project Enclosure
This ABS project enclosure provides space for housing components and cable connections. Its reserved entry locations offer another layout for fitting conduit adapters and cable glands.
This ABS project box has a hinged lid and included cable glands. It offers a smaller enclosure format with a different access arrangement from a removable-lid box.
