I bought the Vanguard VGRBG-1116-0830SS rear bumper guard for my Ford Transit. It is part of my exterior-equipment purchases, alongside the body preparation and finishing work recorded in my build diary.

Where it fits my build
My exterior work included preparing and coating the van body. I masked the boundaries, protected adjacent areas with plastic, sanded the exposed surfaces and cleaned them before applying white-tinted bedliner.
The rear bumper guard is a separate exterior-equipment purchase. I keep the product identity with the van's exterior kit so the guard, its mounting arrangement and the surrounding bodywork can be considered together.

My build notes
The exterior diary shows the practical side of working around the van body: preparation consumed much of the session, and the final edges still needed attention. Those photographs provide the build context for my exterior-equipment purchases.
My purchase record identifies the stainless Vanguard pintle-style rear guard. The alternatives below approach rear access differently: each is a receiver-mounted step, with its own shape and step surface.
The mounting arrangement and available rear access distinguish these exterior accessories.
Alternative products
Two alternatives to compare
The Vanguard is the pintle-style rear guard in my purchase record. The Bully CR-600 and Go Rhino D360T are alternative approaches to rear access using a two-inch hitch receiver: the Bully has a compact central step, while the Go Rhino provides a wider dual-step layout; both occupy the receiver opening.

The Bully CR-600 is a stainless-steel step that mounts in a two-inch hitch receiver. Its compact central step offers an alternative rear-access arrangement.
