The two archived drawings on this page cover different electrical-system configurations. Use the component names, drawing identifiers and AC/DC labels to distinguish them before comparing individual sections. They are separate examples, not two pages of one interchangeable design.
Identify Each System Drawing
- First image, Drawing BJE-255A: a Quattro example labelled 24V/230V, with a Lynx Ion BMS, battery bank, MPPT solar charger, generator and shore-power inputs. The drawing includes DC distribution, monitoring/control connections and AC distribution.
- Second image, Drawing BJE-297E: a US van example with a MultiPlus labelled 12V/120V–60Hz, Smart BMS CL 12/100, starter battery/alternator, solar charger and lithium battery bank. The saved filename identifies this as page 2 of the US van manual/drawing.
Keep those voltage and equipment distinctions attached to the source image. Similar blue component housings do not make the two systems equivalent.

Read One Function At A Time
Start by identifying the energy sources shown in the selected drawing. Then locate storage, charging equipment, DC distribution, inverter/charger and AC distribution. Finally identify the separate monitoring and control connections. This reading order helps keep a small signal/control line distinct from a power path without treating wire colour or line thickness as a specification.
For the equipment I used in my van, see my MultiPlus and AC power equipment.
The drawings contain equipment-dependent notes, warnings and configuration references. Preserve them with the complete source and applicable product manuals.
Keep The Complete Source
Use Victron Energy’s technical-support resources to locate product manuals and example system schematics. Record the exact source, revision and component models in the decision log; the saved image of page 2 is not the complete companion manual. For a narrower solar comparison, see the parallel solar system examples and the combiner-box overview.
