Victron MultiPlus 12V 3000VA Inverter-Charger
This MultiPlus combines a 12-volt battery inverter and an AC-powered battery charger in one enclosure. The purchased model belongs to the 3000VA inverter and 120A charger configuration.
View on AmazonThe AC equipment in my build includes a Victron MultiPlus 3000VA / 12V / 120A inverter charger, a Veepeak 30A shore-power inlet, a VictorsHome changeover switch and a Firman dual-fuel inverter generator.

This rotary cam switch has three selector positions and twelve wiring terminals. The purchased LW28-63 version uses a panel-mounted handle and stacked contact body.
View on AmazonIn inverter mode, the MultiPlus converts house-battery DC into AC. With an external AC supply, its charger function can replenish the batteries.
On the listed MultiPlus, 3000VA is the inverter’s apparent-power rating, 12V identifies the DC model family, and 120A describes the battery-charger rating.
VA and watts are separate specifications: 3000VA does not automatically mean 3000W of continuous output. Likewise, the charger’s 120A rating is not a measurement of current entering the batteries at every moment.
Input and output currents also belong to their respective voltages and conversion stages. Keep each rating with the side of the equipment it describes.
The Veepeak 30A inlet provides the external AC connection. I also used a VictorsHome rotary changeover switch for source selection.
The Firman dual-fuel inverter generator in my equipment supplies external AC. The MultiPlus inverter supplies AC by converting stored battery energy.
For AC loads, record continuous operating power, short starting demands and which devices run together. Keep appliance-side measurements separate from battery-side readings so conversion losses are counted once.
Use the battery guide for stored-energy and runtime calculations, and the loads guide for the lights, stereo and camera equipment.
